Introduction and about me

​my name is Elizabeth Tinsley. This is my new Blog Christian Homestead_93. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a visually impaired Christian woman in my early 30s. I am a country girl through and through and I love to be out in nature. God created us to live off the land. In today’s society, we live in a very spoiled culture where we can just pop out to the store.

Something very beneficial to your garden.

​for those of you who don’t know, ladybugs are very beneficial to your garden. They are a pollinator, and they love sunflowers. Another thing about ladybugs is that they are predators of aphids. If you have an aphid outbreak in your Apple orchard or your pumpkin garden, you can order ladybugs on Amazon. I’ve done it before. All you need to do is make sure that there’s enough moisture on the plants when you get them in then, take them out to your garden and release them. Be warned that they will be clustered around the top of the container. There will be a bunch inside the container, but there will be a bunch on the lid of the container on the inside.

One song that I would love to learn on the ukulele.

​The Philippine Christian ensemble has brought glory to God in this one beautiful song. My grandmother was from the Philippine island of Samar. I know they make ukuleles in Cebu. I’m trying to save up so that eventually, God willing, I can get a ukulele and afford lessons for Christian songs.
